Frequently asked questions

What exactly am I installing?

The AdWeave plugin for Claude. It's available in Claude Desktop, on claude.ai (Cowork), and via the Claude Code CLI. One install registers six slash commands and connects the AdWeave MCP server under the hood — no configs to paste.

How is usage counted? I see 'plugin calls' and 'tool calls' in the UI.

Every slash command you run triggers one or more MCP tool calls under the hood (daily-batch alone typically fires 8–15 tool calls to pull insights, avatars, beliefs, and winners). The free tier meters tool calls at 50/month. Unlimited drops the meter entirely — run as many plugin commands as you want, no matter how heavy they are.

Does the plugin launch live ads?

No — not unless you unpause them. /adweave:meta-ad-launch creates the campaign, ad sets, and ads as paused in Meta. You review them in Ads Manager, then unpause on your schedule. Nothing spends without your final click.

What happens when the launch window closes?

New subscribers will hit metered plugin usage and a higher price point. Anyone on Unlimited before then keeps unlimited use and the launch rate forever — that's what 'grandfathered' means here, and it applies for the life of the subscription.

Can I still use the raw MCP without the plugin?

Yes. Power users can generate API tokens in Settings and point any MCP-compatible client at AdWeave directly. You get the same 47 tools and the same metering. Most users prefer the plugin because the slash commands bundle judgment calls we've tuned for Meta ad ops.

Do I need a Meta Ads account?

Yes. The plugin connects to your existing Meta Ads account via the Meta Marketing API. You'll authorize it during onboarding — pick the Business Portfolio, Ad Account, Page, and Pixel you want AdWeave to use.

Is my data secure?

Your Meta access token is encrypted at rest and never shared. Every plugin tool call is logged to a per-account audit trail (Dashboard → Plugin → logs). You can revoke access from Settings at any time.

Can I cancel?

Anytime, from Settings or the Stripe billing portal. Your subscription stays active through the end of the billing period.
